Hi Alois.

I was wondering, how do you put a slow spinny topspin shot when the ball is coming down and it is close to the table ( about 3 cm away from the tip)

I was playing in a game and this made me lose 5 points, because it went too high or flew away.

Still I won ^^

Thank you

Hi Chris,

The main thing here is to wait.  You need to wait in a low leg position till the ball drops off the end and then make a lifting topspin.  You need to lift the ball with topspin and develop the touch to get the ball low enough so that it makes it difficult for your opponent.

Get your legs close to the table.  If you can't get close enough by having your left leg forward you can in this case put your right leg slightly forward to get your right side closer to the ball.  Then think about your start position of the forehand topspin against backspin and wait there for half a second longer.
