Strokes
Hi the coach I have seen vidéo, generally we grip too hard the bat in french we say like a bird in your hand, but when we hit the ball we have to grip a bit stronger no?
Hi Martinand,
I don't think you need to grip it too hard during your stroke. Your fingers will grip the bat as hard as you need to so that it doesn't fly away.
The strawberry flick is the opposite of the banana flick and involves utilising the wrist to get the ball spinning with topspin and sidespin. Used in conjunction with the banana flick it can be very deceptive. The banana flick is a more reliable stroke and that's why you see more top players using it over the strawberry flick.

thank for your answer, but we can read on ITTF manuel we have to grip a litter more for certain stroke, smash for exemple.
