I want to try working on my footwork without the ball (and maybe without a paddle).
Is there any value in trying to replicate the Falkenberg Drill without the ball, or are there other footwork drills that you'd recommend?
There is some value in doing the shadow drills however, I would then move onto the table fairly soon and try to replicate the movement and feeling of the movement while hitting the ball.
Any of the footwork movements are fine. Try to find a movement that you utilise in a match situation often.
