Serving
Hello sir
Can you tell me how to generate more spin in my services?
I mostly do pendulum serve, tomahawk serve, backspin serve, mizutani high toss serve, backhand serve and sometimes reverse pendulum serve.
Sir, please also tell me how I can improve my serves and how can I vary spin in the serves.
Regards
Madhur kumar
Hi Madhur,
To generate more spin the principle is to get your bat travelling faster on contact. The first thing though is to make sure you have a good brushing contact on the ball.
To vary spin you can alter the speed of contact and also the type of contact. You can get a flatter contact for less spin and also change the angle of contact to get different types of spin.
This is covered in our Introduction to Serving section as well as our Advanced Serving section. Take a good look through there to see what is available.
