Strategy
hi, i'm a two winged looper, i am using butterfly zhang jike blade, and my forehand : tenergy 05 fx, Backhand: tenergy 05
1. i'm often using my forehand topspin as my finishing attack, but i like to use new strategies, is it good to use my forehand topspin as opening attack, then the second attack i launch a strong stroke ? or i have to keep topspin the ball?
sorry bad english,i'm indonesian,i love table tennis very much, every day i'm training in my school, and i was interest by your lesson, thank you very much
Hi Adrian,
You are doing well with your game.
I think it is best to keep topspin on the ball when you are attacking. Only when the ball goes really high you should think about making a smash. It probably needs to be higher that shoulder height to make a safe smash.
Your English is better than my Indonesian so don't worry.
A chopper likes to get back from the table and get into a nice rhythm. If you keep the defender close to the table in the early part of the rally, it's hard for them to transition back into their chopping position. So keep the ball short on your serve and try and catch them unprepared. Watch the video to find out more great tactics to use against a defensive chopper.

Haha it's funny. Your Indonesian is worse than his.
Someone who likes to topspin on both forehand and backhand.
