Coach there is a doubt in my mind, that it is necessary to complete full action while playing forehand topspin?

and i also wanted to know that the main thing is to brush the ball or to complete full action?

Hi Shashank,

It is important to finish the action especially when you are starting to learn the stroke.  This will help you to make sure that the stroke is going in the right direction. As you become more advanced you can cut down the swing slightly at times if you don't have enough time but when learning the finish is the key.

Brushing the ball is also important and something that you can do as well as finishing the stroke. It is all part of getting the stroke correct.

Strawberry Flick

The strawberry flick is the opposite of the banana flick and involves utilising the wrist to get the ball spinning with topspin and sidespin. Used in conjunction with the banana flick it can be very deceptive. The banana flick is a more reliable stroke and that's why you see more top players using it over the strawberry flick.
