Can we do a smash in every ball & how?
Hi Ayush,
I think it is best to play a smash only when the ball is around shoulder height or higher. If the ball is lower than that you are going to make a risky stroke if you try to smash it. You are better to make a topspin on those types of balls.
A chopper likes to get back from the table and get into a nice rhythm. If you keep the defender close to the table in the early part of the rally, it's hard for them to transition back into their chopping position. So keep the ball short on your serve and try and catch them unprepared. Watch the video to find out more great tactics to use against a defensive chopper.

Yes and with a topspin you can hit the ball very hard even if it is quite low since the topspin causes the ball to dip down. Take a look at our video Forehand Topspin Against Block to see what I'm talking about.
