Receiving

Hi Alois,

When I'm receiving a serve in forehand I'm unable to return it. If you could suggest a video then it would be a great help. When I chop or cut the ball it goes out of the table or in the net, it may be any serve where you need to brush the ball underneath, chop or cut the ball.

Regards,

Siddharth

Hi Siddharth,

Try to get closer to the ball.  I like to think of getting my nose close to the ball to make this shot.  It will feel like you have more control when you do this.  Then it is a matter of reading the spin on the ball to get the angle of your racket right to make the ball go back on the table.  We cover these tips in our lessons in our Receiving Secrets section.
