Hi, I want to ask that I sometimes have a problem on forehand despite my position is right but it does not hit my target. I mean that I will aim to the left but it goes on the opposite of my target. Pls help me about it and thanks for the videos. It helps me improve my table tennis.

Hi Nonamizet,

The crucial part is to get the bat facing in the right direction.  I find this is often something players forget to focus on.  It may sound simplistic but wherever your bat is facing at the point of contact is where the ball will go.

Forehand Counterhit

The forehand counterhit or forehand drive is the foundation for more attacking strokes such as the forehand topspin or forehand loop. There are 3 critical factors:

  1. Your feet position
  2. Your start position
  3. Your finish position

If you concentrate on these 3 factors then your stroke will become extremely consistent. Once you can reliably hit 100 balls in a row then you are ready for more attacking strokes. If you can hit 1,000 balls on in a row then you know you've truly mastered the stroke.
