Hi coaches. My forehand loop has sidespin. Is there any way to rectify this mistake.I saw ur forehand loop video and the spin is straight. What are the possible reasons for my mistake. And for me forehand topspin against backspin,I can't seem to lift the heavy backspin sometimes. Also my loops sometimes tend to hit on my edge of my racket.Help is really much appreciated. Please help me.Thanks a lot.

Hi,

I think all of this is related to your sidespin topspin.

To change the spin that you are getting on the topspin focus on your wrist.  Your bat on contact of the ball will be below your wrist.  Make sure that you are lifting the end of your bat up so that it is as high as your wrist.  Then the ball will have better straight topspin.

This will also help you to lift the backspin balls as it is easier to lift the backspin when you are hitting it with straight topspin.  This will help to eliminate hitting the leading edge because you will have a better angle of the bat hitting the ball.
