Forehand jump smash

i seen many people and pros executing the forehand smash with a jump?why is it done so?and how do i execute the jump smash can you provide me with pointers?because i heard that the jump smash provide more downward smashing power which i am looking for.so hopefully i can master the jump smash after my forehand normal smash

Hi Yong,

It is not something that you need to learn.  You will find that you will be able to generate more power if you are on the ground and get your weight going forward with the smash.

It is a bit of a clown around shot that payers will use when they are playing an exhibition match or playing up the crowd.

You will see that very few professionals play this stroke when they are in a serious match.
