Hi Pingskills

I have a problem getting back FH and BH chops every time my opponent uses this on me it ends up out of the table or into the net.

Hi Enoch,

Try making a forehand topspin when he does this. If it is short on the table then use a push to return it.

It is difficult to get the angle just right unless you have a bit of experience against the backspin shots.  There are subtle variations that they can put on the ball that make it really difficult.  Try to get as much experience as possible against the backspin.

Take a look at our lessons on the Forehand Topspin Off Backspin and the Forehand Push.  If you can perfect these two strokes you will be able to handle chops.
