Flicking at me

Strokes

Whenever I do a push, and I return back to my normal position, the ball gets flicked at me with good power. How do I counter a flick after pushing the ball short and using a short serve with spin?

-Thanks, Jason

Hi Jason,

The key is to get the push lower with more backspin. Β This will make it more difficult for your opponent to flick the ball fast at you.

If you are finding that in a match your opponent is flicking well, it may be better to push the ball deep and fast with backspin.
