HI!
I like playing doubles i have observe that there are a lot of backspin ball in doubles game... So I came up with a wall drill..
The main goal of the drill is to keep on topspinning the ball and keep it on your side of the table... So I want to know f i am on the right track to improve my topspin against a backspin ball...

Hi Jurey,

Well done.  This can be a good way of practicing this skill.  Eventually though you will need to also hit with other players more to get the variations and the subtle differences and also to be able to recognise the different movements your opponent is making.

It's important to take the initiative in a rally. My old coach used to call this forcing the pace. To get better at forcing the pace, we are going to consciously go for more power on our third ball shots. We may miss a few more balls but that is part of our development.

It is sooo bad that it is the one-way training :(

(you can train topspin off backspin but not chopping a topspin)
