Strokes

So I've got down the basics of the forhand topspin. I usually hit the ball slow but put a lot of spin on it. I'm trying to progress to hitting the ball faster, but whenever I try to do so the ball flys far off the table. Any advice?

Hi Evan,

Try to maintain the same stroke as you do when playing the ball slowly.  Then just speed up the stroke still thinking about the start and finish positions.

Often when players try to hit the ball faster they change their swing dramatically.

To hit the ball faster you can also just hit the ball a little flatter on contact.
