Serving
Why do most professionals always do short serves? What are the advantages of doing such serves?
Long, fast and spinny serves are great as they are hardder to return for me. What are your views?
Hi Joel,
At a high level, the players all have really good attacking strokes. So, if yo serve the ball long to them they will be able to make a strong shot at you. If you serve short, it becomes a little harder for them to play an aggressive stroke.
At a club level, if your opponent doesn't have a strong attack, then the longer spin serve can be effective.
