Hi Ciaran,

We do have a Premium Ask the Coach video response, Ovtcharov serve where we go through this in detail.

It is a strange serve to look at.  The main thing that is odd is the starting position down so low.  He gets a really good body turn because he is in a side on position.  The contact of the serve is similar to others with their backhand serve.  He also gets into his ready position quickly because he is turning so fast.
