Hello,

I observed one thing in UTT series that at 10-10 score despite having a two point lead they concluded the match winner at 10-11 or 11-10. I searched about it it's called a Golden point. I didn't get this concept could you elaborate and make me understand the difference between these two?

Hi Dimple,

This is a special rule they are using for that tournament.  It is not the official ITTF rules.  At 10 all it is just the next person to win the point is the winner of the game.

In a normal match situation you need to be 2 points ahead to win the game and players have one serve each from 10 all onwards.

Doubles Serving Rules

In this video we go over the somewhat complicated rules of serving for doubles in table tennis. There are a couple of extra rules for doubles that you don't apply to singles. In doubles you always serve from the right hand box diagonally to your opponent's right hand box. Each player has 2 serves each. If you've just been receiving then it's your turn to serve next.
