Strokes

Hello Sir,

I am facing difficulty while countering the high returns bouncing just on the end of the table. I often play close to the table and I have an attacking style of play. I know this is an unusual weakness but can you guide me how counter these and at the same time how to make it difficult for my opponent to play an attacking stroke after the return from my side?

Hi Mukul,

The main thing is to make sure you move back and into a good position to play that shot.  If you stay close to the table it will make the stroke awkward.

We often practice our sideways movement, so this is more of a forwards and backwards movement.  Try to jump back into position to get there quicker and give yourself penny of time.  Then the stroke become easy.
