Strokes

I'm a modern defender when anyone plays a dropshot I end up giving it higher and receiving a fast attack which could not be blocked. How to cope with this?

Hi Saatvik,

Try to keep your chops deeper on the table.  This will mean it is more difficult for them to get the ball short on your end of the table.

Also watch the ball and this will help you to see the subtle changes that the player makes when he is going to play a drop shot.  There may be a few little tells that they give away that will give you the split second head start to getting to the drop shot earlier.  If you are there earlier you can play a more effective shot.
