Strokes
How can I counter spin a ball easily by making myself ready for the stroke.
Hi Sachet,
At first start with a blocking action and then slowly progress to a little more brushing action to get the counter spin.
The important part is getting good contact on the ball initially. A lot of players try to get the perfect spin contact straight away and end up missing the ball more often than they contact it.
The banana flick has become one of the most important returns in table tennis. It allows you to attack almost any short ball and places your opponent under immediate pressure. Still it is a difficult stroke that takes a lot of practice to master.
