When i was playing table tennis with my friends, loops always occurs. Mainly there are two types of loops that i encounter, a near table loop and a far table loop. When i encounter a far table loop, i am always able to counter topspin or block, but when i encounter a near table loop, i always could not block the ball or make a counter topspin as i always contact the ball in a very awkward way.

Please help. Thanks :D

Hi Khang,

It sounds like you are being rushed for time when they are closer to the table.  Try to play a simpler stroke when they are closer to the table.  Just put your bat to the ball and use the angle of your bat to get the ball back.  If you try to do too much you may struggle for time. By getting the ball back on the table it forces them to play one more ball where they may make an error.  You may be able to get back into the point if they play a weaker ball on the next shot.
