I am still not clear about when to do a simple counterhit versus a topspin drive in games.  Can you suggest some criteria for this choice?

thanks

Hi Ajoy,

In most cases if you had the option you would opt for the topspin as you can generate more spin and speed.

If the ball is too fast for you and you don't have time to make a topspin then a counterhit would be a good option as it is more efficient.

You may also want to make a counterhit if your opponent likes the ball coming faster to them.
