Hi

Where exactly is the best place to contact the ball onto the bat for maximum spin?

I have been getting different views some say contact the ball at the top edge some say contact the ball with the bottom of the bat.

please advise.

Hi David,

For more spin contact the ball closer to the leading edge of the racket and for less spin closer to the trailing edge.

Experiment for yourself and see what feels gives you the best results.

Forehand Chop

The forehand chop is a defensive stroke played away from the table. It is mainly used by defenders but can also be incorporated into an attackers game when forced away from the table.
