Hey guys.

Last week I injured my knee pretty bad while playing soccer. And now the doctor says that I need to rest for about 3 months and not playing any kind of sports and exercises.

My question is that going to ruin my table tennis?

I mean 3 months is a lot. I was playing my best before the injury.

How long will it take to get back to that level for me  and what kind of drills and practice should I do after this 3 months?

Thanks a LOT.

Hi Ali,

Sorry about the injury. Hope your recovery is fast.

You can do a lot of controlled hitting when you are allowed to. In the meantime you can do some imagery where you can close your eyes and imagine yourself playing some good shots.  Or you may even be able to do some serving practice where you can prop yourself up on a chair and serve.  Check with your doctor to see if that is possible.

#10 - Backhand Attacking Technique

This week we switch the focus to your backhand attacking technique. If you can develop your backhand topspin your opponent will not be able to pin you down and this will take your game to a new level. With regards to the serve you have been working on, we introduce some tests that you can use to monitor your progress over time.
