Chopping the Ball

Strokes

Some of my opponents are not confident against chops, but 1 in every 2 or 3 of my chops will not touch their side of the table, so they win the point.  Are there any training drills to solve this problem?

Hi Ciaran,

You need to practice your chops more.  The more you do it the better you will get and maybe get to a stage where you make 9 out of 10.

Strawberry Flick

The strawberry flick is the opposite of the banana flick and involves utilising the wrist to get the ball spinning with topspin and sidespin. Used in conjunction with the banana flick it can be very deceptive. The banana flick is a more reliable stroke and that's why you see more top players using it over the strawberry flick.
