Strokes
Hi Alois and Pingskills
if a chopper decide block with the pimples a topspin or counterhit ball instead of chop it, How i must hit this ball, with loopspin, topspin or simply counterhit?
Thanks
Hi Cristh,
It is best to try and either topspin or push this ball. It will have some backspin on it so you can't just block it or it will go into the net.
If you are going to topspin it you need to have a more vertical stroke to cope with the backspin on it. You won't have much time so make the stroke short.
The humble push does not sound like an exciting stroke but it is one of the most important shots in Table Tennis. Having a great short push can be the difference between being an average player and being a great player. Make sure you allocate the appropriate amount of practice to mastering the push.
