Choosing Rubbers

Equipment

I've been playing for some time now, and I've tried a lot of rubbers. Sriver G2 FX, Sriver EL, Yasaka Mark V XS, Tackifire C soft and hard, and DHS Skyline 3. But I'm still looking for a rubber which produces a lot more spin, such as tackifire and skyline, but with a softer feeling. And yet, I need a slower rubber for more control. The rubbers which I use which has the required spin still lacks the softness. Most of them feels really hard compared to Mark V or Sriver. And I'm looking for a relatively affordable rubber, maybe from DHS. Nothing such as Bryce or Omega. I'm using M. Maze now. Please recommend me some rubbers. Thanks.

Hi Christopher,

I think one of the Chinese rubbers with a softer sponge is what you are looking for.

Have a look at the reviews on Friendship rubber on the One of A Kind Trading website and you will see some reviews of rubbers that may suit. I have not used a lot of these so would not recommend anything until I see them but there is lots of good information at
One of A Kind Trading website

Choosing a Table Tennis Bat

Make sure you buy a table tennis bat that is suitable for your level and allows you to develop your technique. For your first bat we recommend the PingSkills Rook, and when you upgrade to a custom bat we recommend the PingSkills Touch with Mark V or Rakza 7.
