Chinese rubber cleaning help

I bought a tacky chinese rubber two days ago and after I washed it with a wet cloth the surface got less tacky. Does this affect the performance of the rubber?

Hi Ryan,
No this won’t effect the performance. The initial tackiness wears off quickly but the real spin is generated from the rubber and sponge.
