Hi Pingskills,

It was announced recently that China's team at the Korean Open World Tour event will play doubles with a player from another country, rather than an all Chinese pair. Example, Xu Xin will be playing with France's Adrien Mattenet. Initial thoughts? Are they doing it to benefit the game of Table Tennis, or to benefit themselves in some round-about way?

Hi Simon,

Yes this is an interesting move.  I think they are genuine with it.  I don't see how it would really benefit them by playing with other players.  Just a goodwill gesture I would say.

I think it will add interest to the Korean Open.  Let's watch out for the results.
