Dear PingSkills,

I am really considering switching from from smooth rubber to long pip rubber, but i know that if i do i will lose my back hand attack.  My question is, can i still attack with long pip rubbers, or is it only used for chopping and blocking.  If I use short pips instead, will i be able to attack?

Thank you

Niko

Hi Niko,

It is more difficult to attack with Long Pimples.  You can do it if there is some backspin on the ball.

Take a look at this tutorial on the LP Attack Against Backspin.

Short Pips will make it easier to attack in general if attacking is a focus for your game.
