Building my own blade from scratch with a few questions

I'm not sure if this website was the right place to go and if anyone would know the answers but I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask a few questions.
I plan on trying to build my own blade with the specific wood of my choosing. I have found some info on this but one thing I haven't been able to find is what glue to use when gluing my 5 different woods together. I imagine this is important and wouldn't mind input. Even if no one knows a true answer I would like to hear from people that know more than me.

There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is.
