We say it is best to stop the problem by keeping the ball lower and deeper. Then you won't need to worry about this. However if you do put the ball up higher, try to move back away from the table to give yourself more time to see the ball. Then you can use the pace of the ball to Backhand Block the ball back or if you get further back you can attempt the Lob
