Hi Coach,

I wondered do players chop both direction(right to left or left to right) or is it just one direction.

I have only tried to chop in one direction.

If we can chop in both direction i need some advice because (i am a lefty) i chop from right to left both backhand and forehand.

Warm Regards,

Niranjan

Hi Niranjan,

Yes you can chop both ways but initially it is best to chop straight forward to get consistency.

Chopping is hard
But not impossible
You must persevere and get the correct techinque
It can take a long time but it is possible

In fact, one of the main reason why I became a classical defender is that my teammates are constatntly repeating "you cannot become good by chopping"

I will become more consistent chopping in one direction

I have another question here how long should i consider chopping in one direction?
