Best way to counter a net or edge

Strokes

It happens really often when my friend hits it back and it clips the net or clips the edge of the table. The net-clip makes me have to suddenly lunge forward and its really annoying. With the edge-clip, it looks like its going to go out but barely clips the edge making it bounce diagonally. This is really hard to me to counter.

Is there any special trick to deal with this or is is just bad luck?

Hi Nop,

There are no tricks with this.  It is a matter of watching the ball really carefully.  This will give you the best opportunity to get to the nets or edges.  Sometimes it is almost impossible.  Just do your best.
