Dear Mr. Jeff Plumb,

I have been playing table tennis for about 8 months and have been using a stiga synergy premade bat. My friends told me I should buy a new bat now and they recommend Yasaka Mark V or Butterfly Sriver. Since the rubber on my bat is dead. I am interested in your opinion about which one is better. I am also looking for a good blade that is about 80 dollars. If there are other rubbers that are good please recommend them to me.

Hi Ivy,

Both of those rubbers are suitable and as good as each other.

We have an option in or Store of the PingSkills Touch with Mark V that you may want to look at as an option.  This comes assembled with 2mm Mark V on both sides.

Tone is in Your Fingers

There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!
