Ball touching your finger while returning

Hello,

 I'm a beginner and would like to know what happens if the ball touches your finger/hand (the one you'r holding the bat) while taking a stroke?

Good question.

If the ball touches only your finger and goes back over it is a good hit.

But you will find that in most cases when the ball touches your finger it also touhes the bat and then it is a double hit and not allowed.
