Ok so here is my situation, I do the pendulum/reverse pendulum serves.  I have trouble getting the right brushing and wrist action for the pendulum, its seems odd wrist wise, but my consistency is good and my top-side serve is awesome and often wins me a kill.  On the other hand my reverse pensulum serves have awesome spin, are often netted or put out since I can get a much better wrist snapping in that direction although I lack consistency (often swing and miss)  so any suggestions on how to make my pendulums spinnier and get better consistency off the reverses.

Hi Fred,

For the Pendulum serve make sure you have the grip correct.  This will allow you to swing your wrist freely.  The other thing that may be the issue is to get your elbow up to the same height as your shoulder.  Try to relax your wrist as much as you can and swing with your forearm.  Check that your wrist isn't tight as this will mean that you are not getting the full motion of the wrsit.

You have a common problem with the reverse pendulum.  You will probably find that you are swinging behind the ball.  Check where your bat is pointing at the end of your swing.  If you are swingng behind the ball, get the bat to finish closer to the middle of the net and push your bat forward.

You know pendulum is easier since its mecanically simple but spin is better with reverse pendulum since that side of breaking the wrist is embeded in my brain since its like throwing a frisbee.
