Serving
Hi Alois and Jeff,
i have wanted to master the back spin side spin serve for a while now. I have always believed that this will win me more points, or will it

Will
Hi Will,
Improving your serve in general will help you with your game.
The backspin sidespin serve is a good one because you will be able to keep the ball low and make it difficult for your opponent to attack by putting enough backspin on the ball. The sidespin will make it hard for your opponent to read.
You can use a variety of serves to get backspin and sidespin. You can use my favourite, the Pendulum serve or the Backhand serve, the Tomahawk serve, Reverse Pendulum and a whole lot more.
To get the backspin and sidespin on any of those serves you need to contact the bottom and side of the ball. A good brushing action will achieve the result.
