Hi Sriram,

I would take that advice and try to restrict the movement of your wrist initially.  You could even use a pice of tape around your wrist for a few minutes to give yourself feedback of what your wrist is doing during the stroke.  If you are using yoru wrist too much you will feel the pull on the tape.

Forehand Counterhit

The forehand counterhit or forehand drive is the foundation for more attacking strokes such as the forehand topspin or forehand loop. There are 3 critical factors:

  1. Your feet position
  2. Your start position
  3. Your finish position

If you concentrate on these 3 factors then your stroke will become extremely consistent. Once you can reliably hit 100 balls in a row then you are ready for more attacking strokes. If you can hit 1,000 balls on in a row then you know you've truly mastered the stroke.

According to Chinese,Persson and Kreanga training videos, the forearm and wrist should cooperate.
Alois also mentions this in some video,am I right Alois?
I have also tested this and I was able (I,a long pimpled backhand chopper) to develop a stable backhand drive and loop off block.
