Backhand topspin

Hello, iam abhinav and iam not able to counter long backspins with my backhand topspin. Could you please show me a video or explanation so i can counter them?

Hi Abhinav,

The key is to have a more vertical stroke when trying to lift the backspin.

Take a look at our lesson on the Backhand Loop Off Backspin.  This is the stroke you should play.

Strawberry Flick

The strawberry flick is the opposite of the banana flick and involves utilising the wrist to get the ball spinning with topspin and sidespin. Used in conjunction with the banana flick it can be very deceptive. The banana flick is a more reliable stroke and that's why you see more top players using it over the strawberry flick.
