Strokes
hello coach.. can i ask you a question... how can i enhance my backhand smash?
what would i do to master it.? ive been playing table tennis a couple of the years, but i still dont know how? pls reply or send me a video to watch.... it is so important because ive been joining a competition soon.. thank you..
Hi Yanyan,
The Backhand smash is a difficult stroke. WHen the ball is high on the backhand side it is best to move around quickly and play a Forehand smash.
However, we will have a lesson coming out soon on the Backhand smash technique. We have filmed it and it is now being edited. Keep an eye on the site.
Question actions
The strawberry flick is the opposite of the banana flick and involves utilising the wrist to get the ball spinning with topspin and sidespin. Used in conjunction with the banana flick it can be very deceptive. The banana flick is a more reliable stroke and that's why you see more top players using it over the strawberry flick.
