Strokes
Hi, people
My question refers to this type of movement. You see, when penholders execute their backhand topspin like Wang Hao, they get some side spin on their topspin. I am interested can shake hand player achieve the same effect and how? Do you already have a video response about this, and, if not, could you make one? See ya
Hi Sasha,
The shakehanders can get sidespin on the backhand topspin. There is a Premium member response in the Ask the Coach questions. Curve with Backhand.
The key is to hit the ball outside the line of the body and drop your wrist to get the angle for the curve on the ball.
The forehand counterhit or forehand drive is the foundation for more attacking strokes such as the forehand topspin or forehand loop. There are 3 critical factors:
If you concentrate on these 3 factors then your stroke will become extremely consistent. Once you can reliably hit 100 balls in a row then you are ready for more attacking strokes. If you can hit 1,000 balls on in a row then you know you've truly mastered the stroke.
