Backhand problem

Strokes

I bought the dvds but then did not arrive yet so... I wonder how I need to adapt my backhand loop when I am facing a backspin. I mean angle of the bat, speed, etc

How can I give more spin or more speed in the backhand loop?

Thank you

Hi Bruno,

Take a look at our lesson on the Backhand Topspin Off Backspin.  This is the stroke that you should look to use in this situation.  The stroke is more vertical to allow for the backspin.  As long as you are brushing the ball then you can get you bat coming through faster to generate more speed and still get the ball on the table.

Hope this helps and that you enjoy the DVDs when they arrive in a few days.

Make the stroke more vertical and still brush the ball.  This will mean less speed and more spin.
