Hi Coach, I am 14 years old an I love to play table tennis. I learned basically everything I know today on school, playing with my friends, about 3 years ago.

Now, I want to improve my skills and your site seems to be very good.

My question is about attacking with the backhand, I found it very difficult to control the strength I hit the ball, sometimes it goes on the net, others out of the table.

Hi Luis,

I am glad that you are enjoying the lessons.

Firstly make sure your stroke is correct. Take a look at our lesson on the Backhand Counterhit and the Backhand Topspin Against Block.  You will notice the start and finish positions are the key things to focus on here.  If you can get these correct and controlled you will start to develop more consistency with your stroke.
