THATS A CRAZY GOOD IDEA! PUT THE MATCH ON THE BLOG!
Minh Nguyen Posted 12 years ago
I think Jeff would win, his strokes are just too smooth and powerful.
Alois Rosario from PingSkills Posted 12 years ago
No way... come on... you can't be serious!!!
Claus Hamacher Posted 12 years ago
Oh, we are serious....
Hey guys, did you notive that this question is eligible vor the "video answer vote"? ;-)
Btw, I really don't think it matters who would win this one - but it sure would be great fun to watch!
Keep up the good work - both of you. I really like this site!
Ian Costello Posted 12 years ago
Alois has good serves. He can trouble Jeff with the serve. Also, I saw Alois in the "Bonus Footage" of the DVD "Receiving Secrets Revealed", U had AWESOME returns!
Ian Costello Posted 12 years ago
Use your "Ma Lin" high backspin serve!
Chris Roe Posted 12 years ago
Yes I too would like to see that match so I am going to add my vote to get it up. Cheers.
Julio Torres Posted 12 years ago

Harikrishnan U Posted 12 years ago
Just one match pleeeeeeeeeeeese!
Jeff Plumb from PingSkills Posted 12 years ago
Who do you think would win? I posted this question on our Facebook page and twice as many people thought Alois would win!?!? I'm hoping for a different response here!
Alois Rosario from PingSkills Posted 12 years ago
Hey come on... this could be deemed as soliciting support Jeff!!!
Minh Nguyen Posted 12 years ago
Well Jeff is a table tennis OLYMPIAN, so of course there's no way that Alois is gonna agree to play and put up a match.
rajesh jha Posted 12 years ago
I think alois only has the serves as he demonstrates all the service videos while jeff has a more all round game so he had been given the task of demonstrating the strokes in the lessons. After the service and the return i guess Jeff will have an upper hand. He shud win plus he has age factor on his side. His only disadvantage is that he is a little overweight ;). wat say frnds??
Shaji Alavi Posted 12 years ago
Alois has loads and loads of experience, so he would definitely have more control over the ball coz of ball sense he would have developed over the years. Also he would have more strategies than Jeff. Jeff on the other hand has power with speed and is more quick with the electrifying footwork. Players who can get more quickly to the ball and not miss it are a hard nut to crack.
P.S. I voted for Jeff. :D
Claus Hamacher Posted 12 years ago

LeangHeng IT Posted 11 years ago
You guyes put thise vote into critical moment... either Alois or Jeff, the result will have great impact on PingSkills.
Let's discuss. If Alois has been coaching for long time (quiting tourment), he is just like a boxing shack. If they both always play against each other, they already know clearly what their opponent is capable of so the smart one with good tactics should win. If we look at Jeff, he has got big body disadvantages him for speed...
Well, headache!!! Anyone wanna add more, go ahead...
Enoch Oppong Posted 11 years ago
Alois will win
Nikhil Bathla Posted 11 years ago
its a long time when this question was posted now please we want a match.
ashley koh jia jhin Posted 11 years ago

and if he loses then y is he still the coach?!
Rajesh Sawant Posted 11 years ago
Ashley,
You are completely wrong, its not like all coaches can win all matches, Its totally depends on practice and nature of games which suits your type. Any one can win against coach but its not necessary that winner is really good player than coach. Dont take this personally its truth, what do you guys think?
Thanks,
Rajesh Suhas Sawant
Shripathi ramakrishnan Posted 11 years ago

I have to say it would be close. Both of you guys are very good, but I would have to say that Alois has the edge. Maybe Jeff could prove me wrong. What do think?

Pallav Gurha Posted 11 years ago
Yes, This will really be a great match. Since Alois and Jeff both know each others weakness, it will definitely be a great match.
And the best part is, At the end of the match you guys can add your thinking before each shot, so that will definitely other members to rethink before they play a person who knows all their weaknesses.
And obviously, its just a match, someone has to loose which cannot be averted. So, play it and please upload it, so that everyone else can take a lesson from it.

Erik Dupont Posted 11 years ago
If Alois and Jeff for some reason do not want to play a serious match against each other, what about showing us a few real matches where each of you plays against other good players?
Jeff Plumb from PingSkills Posted 11 years ago
Have you seen the video of Alois vs Italy? It's on the About Us page.
Erik Dupont Posted 11 years ago
"A portrait of the artist as a young man", very nice indeed. What about some more contemporary videos of both of you?
Rey Gomez Posted 11 years ago
Of course, I'll go with Alois! :) I've already seen Alois's match when he was YOUNG. I want to see you guys play with each other, at your current age.
Nicolas Piaser Posted 11 years ago
The video of Alois vs Italy is too short.
It would have been good to see of advantage Alois in his top level when he was younger ^^ .
Nevertheless it is not so bad.
Ardak . Posted 11 years ago
But you are not playing serious here.. It is "TABLE TENNIS PARTY"...
Alois all the way, if its serous ping pong. Jeff's however will not make it easy for Alois.
Jerome Babiera Posted 11 years ago
hey guys! we are still waiting for the video in Ballarat
Jeff Plumb from PingSkills Posted 11 years ago
Hi Jerome,
the video at the start of the question is the video from Ballarat. :)

Alois Rosario from PingSkills Posted 11 years ago
Today... probably... That is an interesting one...
Paul Gevaert Posted 11 years ago
Why is everyone so gungho about this? Get out there and practice!
Justin O'Toole Posted 10 years ago
Who cares who win really Jeff and Alois are two fantastic gentlemen. To me it does not matter who wins because i know they are both down to earth people, who are very likeable. Could not find a better pair of human beings. They should just play a match for fun though. Maybie even a team event Jeff with one amatuer pingskiller vs Alois also with a amatuer pingskilller.
Each play two singles pro vs pro, amatuer vs amatuer, pro vs amatuer and doubles. It is a crazy idea but i think it would work. It would be great to see Alois and Jeff have a serious practice match.
Justin O'Toole Posted 10 years ago
Don't know who would win Jeff or Alois, id reckon there would only be 2-4 points in the match at the end and it would go all the way. My idea of a team event one pingskiller with Alois and one with Jeff to me sounds good maybie even crazy. It is only an idea though other people might have an ideas as well. This is if Jeff and Alois do have a match.

alois , you joke too much.I was laughing and i didnt stop laughing
Indrani Mukherjee Posted 10 years ago
This was a good match and it proves jeff is better than alois
oh! ha ha ha
Enrique Gomez Posted 10 years ago
I notice that Alois lower his head when receiving and returns to a normal stance as soon as Jeff's ball leaves his racket. What is the purpose of this?
Alois Rosario from PingSkills Posted 10 years ago
Start to move to position to return the ball.
pratik bokil Posted 10 years ago
the match between u and jeff was the best and the funniest match i have ever seen
Enrique Gomez Posted 10 years ago
I though you were lowering your head and your torso so you can read better the contact of the ball with Jeff's paddle, otherwise it is very hard to move into the proper position to return the ball since your upper body is inclined toward the table, you are out of balance and your feet cannot accommodate well to displace your body in case the ball is coming to you or far from you

Here in the States - we have a basketball group called the Harlem Globtrotters and they are fun and really pull out of the audience lots of laughs - Just like I did watching you two do the things you did. Thanks for the laughs and I'll be sharing this with my friends!

Nikhil Bathla Posted 11 years ago
there was only three things in that video Entertainment, entertainment and entertainment.
Paul Gevaert Posted 11 years ago
It's the ultimate compliment to the coach when the student surpasses him.
It is "TABLE TENNIS PARTY"...
bryan george Posted 11 years ago

Jerome Babiera Posted 11 years ago

Jerome Babiera Posted 11 years ago
Jeff Plumb from PingSkills Posted 11 years ago
Hi Jerome,
the video at the start of the question is the video from Ballarat. :)

Alois Rosario from PingSkills Posted 11 years ago
When you have hit a lot of balls in your life it is difficult to forget some things.

Oliver Posted 11 years ago
So Alois, do you think Liu Guoliang can still beat a player in the top 200 such as Zhou Qihao?
Jimmy Sanchez Posted 10 years ago
It is a terrific funny match, but I thinks a lot of us would like to see a real match between our glorious mentors, no matters who wins !!!!.

Enrique Gomez Posted 10 years ago
I though you were lowering your head and your torso so you can read better the contact of the ball with Jeff's paddle, otherwise it is very hard to move into the proper position to return the ball since your upper body is inclined toward the table, you are out of balance and your feet cannot accommodate well to displace your body in case the ball is coming to you or far from you
Ken Memoria Posted 9 years ago

Matt M Posted 8 years ago
According to ancient druid scrolls, it speaks of a serious match between Alois and Jeff and if this prophecy comes to be, then on the 3rd point of the 3rd game the planets will align and destroy our known universe.
Is this something you want to happen!?
Alois Rosario from PingSkills Posted 8 years ago
Joe Bailey Posted 8 years ago
