Big fan of your work oh my brothers. It seems I've had a real troublesome time deciding what to change my forehand rubber side to of late...I've been using Cermet 1.9, but it feel like its been hindering my progress and i'd prefer more of a spinny, grippy like rubber for the old toss and hit/ service game and forehand looping, but with a proper sense of power and crispness for the flat smashes, a specialty for me. I swing a real light butterfly twist fl, or what not, blade from 3 years ago and im happy with it and the sriver g2 on my back hand, but ive been eyeing something a bit more agressive, spinny,  and powerful but crisp on the flatties too. A spinnier more powerful version of sriver g2 would be real nice. I've been looking at tenergy rubbers, which seems perfect on paper but i hear its lacking for flat smashes and what have you. I am a reflex all arounder at heart with a real aggressive but control oriented style of play. Please help. Thanks mates.

Hi Chaddy,

I would recommend Xiom Vega Pro for the forehand.  It is grippy and allows you hit flat well also.  Jeff and I both use it and find it a good rubber for spin.

Tone is in Your Fingers

There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!
