When is it gonna release for Android?
Alois Rosario from PingSkills Posted 6 years ago
Hi Hanzel,
Only just developed for iOS at the moment. Hopefully it is popular there first.

Hi - very useful app - thanks. Any thoughts of adding doubles?

Just got my PingSkills Scoring App, it is handy and easy to use.
How timely, how App..ly for my upcoming pennants. I no longer have to worry about the scores and can fully focus on the ball.

Thanks Chau. Kevin, all possibilities for future upgrades.

There is already a lot of score table tennis app on Android, despite that OS is not so popular ?

I only need glasses for reading - can umpire fine without, so nice if screen space used better so larger letters for player names and scores. Good if you could swap player 1 and player 2 to match their table ends at the start and if the app automatically swapped thereafter at each game end and also at 5 if it goes to a decider.

Thanks for the ideas Steven.

Would be keener to see a fixtures app where you could enter games scores throughout the night and they would get uploaded to a cloud database which works out team results, season progress etc.

Like the existing table tennis scoring apps, what this app really needs to be useful is networking functionality. e.g. I need to score on my iPhone as umpire, and for the score to immediately get updated on an iPad that the players see in front of the umpire (me), and potentially also be seen by a proud parent in the stands on their smart-phone/tablet/computer.
Then at the conclusion of a match, the match is automatically sent and entered into the data on a 'master' device file which at the end of the night's matches can print out the team/tournament result sheet, and potentially send it to the competition secretary for recording for the season.
Lastly, being electronic, one has to code for failure such as flat battery. So the scoring app needs to keep a history of the points won in case of dispute, and the app needs to ensure that this history and current match status is backed-up on at least the 'master' device, and preferably on all devices receiving a feed of the match.
If you can start getting some of this functionality included then I will be happy to try the app.
