Losing with the same opponent with who you win easily.

Does this situation happen v. Often? Why does this repetition happen?

Hi Bhupal,

This can happen often.  Table Tennis is not a simple game and sometimes we play well and sometimes we don't.  This also happens to our opponents.

It is what makes the game so interesting because there are so many variables.  That is why we focus on making the game as simple as possible to try to add consistency to your game.

Tactics Against a Good Short Pusher

Use a long push or a flick to open up the game against someone who is beating you at the short game. It might not be your favourite way to play but if you are losing the short game you need to mix things up. In the long run you certainly need to improve your own short game.

Thanks pal

But am not convinced yet.

Could you supply me with a solution  which might lead me and my game to further consistency ( I could smile at least for a week or so before am moved back to the other side of the pendulum)

Thanks pal.

There is no easy solution otherwise players would have consistent results most of the time.  I think it is about making sure you manage your emotional level well.  Then focus on working on each point and game and have a regular routine that you use before each point and game.  This provides a regular reference for your body to make it feel comfortable and keep your emotional level constant.
