Hello,
Should the bat angle be closed or opened for windshield wiper serve.

Hi Sonia,
You can change the angle of your racket to get different spins but in general it needs to be quite flat, facing the net, to use this serve.

Windshield wiper serve is a signature serve of my former coach.
From analyzing his technique and my own experiments-the angle can also be altered,you can experiemnt with tilting it backwards and forwards. This actually affects the length of the serve BUT makes it more awkward to execute.
